Brief Description:  Right wing top skins part #7

Lauren and I got back onto the wings tonight. I was away last night presenting at a COPA meeting about the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association so not work on the wings.

We picked up where we left off and completed the rivets on the spar flange on the tank/leading edge joint. She was awesome. She did scare the crap out of me one time though. I wasn't ready and she was on the rivet and gave it a quick shot. I gave a quick "STOP!" A quick check revelaed no damage! I reinforced the "On it" from her and "short burst, go" by me. We have it down pat now!

We have three ribs left, which we will finish off tomorrow night. I removed a few of the rivets that I actually set with the off-set back riveter. Some of them weren't as good as they should be and the rivet removal tool works like a charm. We'll fix those tomorrow.

Lauren received an email from fellow builder Steve Riffe in Texas about her work...she was thrilled, and responded with her own email. I then showed her the responses on VAF after I posted about my new bucking partner. Her comment was "Wow dad, I'm worldwide now" after seeing the comments from across the U.S. and Australia. I think she's one commited girl now!!!

Thanks folks and thank you Steve for the kind words to her!

Oh yeah, I made my wing cradle as well today. I'm hoping to have the right wing off the stand tomorrow!
